Poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different players attain 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino's initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet's amount is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including an amount on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino's hand. The bank pony's up cash even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
