Poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino's initial card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager's value is on same level to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house doesn't have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum in accordance with the initial bet. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer's hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for two pairs
• three to one for three of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
• fifty to one for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
