Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is commonly viewed as one of the most difficult but popular poker variations. It is a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, invites play from all levels of players. This is the main reason why a once irrelevant variation, has expanded in acceptance so quickly.

Omaha hi/lo starts exactly like a normal game of Omaha. 4 cards are given out to every player. A round of betting follows where gamblers can bet, check, or fold. Three cards are given out, this is known as the flop. One more round of betting happens. Once all the players have either called or folded, another card is revealed on the turn. an additional sequence of wagering follows at which point the river card is flipped. The entrants will need to put together the strongest high and low 5 card hands based on the board and hole cards.

This is the point where many players can get flustered. Contrasted to Texas Hold 'Em, where the board can be everyone's hand, in Omaha hi/low the player must use exactly three cards on the board, and precisely 2 hole cards.
