Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the west in a great game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginner players don't need to be concerned about any other, more skillful people taking their money.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is given seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
