Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only participant to achieve last table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a massive pot with quads against Daniel's full house. Hansen has made many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best gamblers anywhere in the world. Hansen usually buys in for the min of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He waits for a decent hand and then goes all in. I accept that Hansen is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has little or no reason to settle at the table with the min buy in.
